What is a PSDmarket Print Design?
A Print Design is downloadable artwork intended for compatible apparel, merchandise and creative-production workflows. It is a separate product family from PSDmarket’s Photoshop flyer templates. The exact delivered format varies by product, so the individual product page is the source of truth for file format, vector status, text editability, layers and language.
Common uses include T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, mugs, posters, bags, stickers and other merchandise where the artwork fits the production method and the selected product license.
AI, PNG, JPG and PSD: what the file format means
- AI: Adobe Illustrator source artwork. When the product is verified as vector, it can be scaled without the pixelation associated with raster images.
- PNG: raster artwork suitable for compatible print and merchandise workflows. Resolution and transparency depend on the individual source file.
- JPG: raster artwork without transparency. Check the actual product details before choosing it for a workflow that requires a transparent background.
- PSD: Adobe Photoshop source artwork. Layer and text status are listed separately when verified.
Do not assume every Print Design is an AI file or a vector file. PSDmarket lists the exact source format on each Print Design product page.
Vector vs raster artwork
Vector artwork is built from editable paths and shapes and can generally be scaled while preserving clean edges. Raster artwork is pixel-based, so output quality depends on the source resolution and final print size. Some files can contain both vector and raster elements; when that is verified, the product page labels the artwork accordingly.
Editable, outlined and rasterized text
- Editable: live text remains available for text editing in compatible source software.
- Outlined: letters have been converted to vector shapes. They can be transformed as artwork but are no longer editable as live text.
- Rasterized: text has been converted to pixels and is no longer editable as live text.
- No text: the artwork does not contain a text element that needs editing.
